People often ask what inspires each app we create. The Multiplication Tunes and Captain Stumpy Pirate Cat, for example, feature content authored by individuals or companies who hired Once Upon an App to develop an app for them. Once Upon an App occasionally licenses content from reputable educational sources, such as the First Words series from Oxford Press and the Learn Every Day series from Gryphon House. We also search for public domain stories like nursery rhymes and reimagine them into an interactive app or eBook. Other apps, such as Gobbler Cobbler and Twas the Night Before Halloween, were created out of our own minds while being silly at the conference room table. We factor educational and technological advancements during the design phase of each app. During the testing phase, we ask focus groups consisting of teachers and children to rate the app for fun, educational quality and usability.
Here is our complete catalog of fun and educational mobile apps for kids. These mobile apps are available for download in iTunes, Google Play and Amazon.
